The Internet Romance Organization was created in 1998 to offer assistance, support and advice to couples involved in an Internet Romance.

With the growing usage of the internet for people to search for potential partners, we found that although there were thousands of sites offering to help you find that 'special person', that there was no ongoing support for those that have entered into what can be a very strange and new experience.

How did we know this?  We learned the hard way!  In 1998, a woman from Australia and a man from England entered into an internet romance.  We faced so many problems such as family, children, immigration, etc and had nowhere to turn for support.  This lead to the creation of the Internet Romance Organization, so that other couples could share their experiences and path the way for a smoother internet romance.
